Delete your account in the app

You can permanently delete your account directly in Chivoc:

1. Open Chivoc and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Open the Profile tab.
3. Select Delete Account.
4. Follow the on-screen identity verification steps.
5. Review the warning and confirm permanent deletion.

Account deletion cannot be undone. After deletion, you will no longer be able to sign in to or restore the deleted Chivoc account.

Request deletion without the app

If you cannot access the app, email contact@chivoc.com from the email address registered to your Chivoc account. Use the subject “Chivoc account deletion request.”

Include your account email address and sign-in method. Never send your password, verification code, or payment details. We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request.

Data deleted with your account

• Your Chivoc account and linked sign-in identities.
• Your email address and account profile information.
• Your selected language, HSK level, daily goal, and settings.
• Your synchronized learning progress, answer history, exercise records, and handwriting records.
• Direct account messages, message read status, active-day dates, and rating-request attempt history associated with your account.
• Local Sentence Builder progress and mistake review, grammar progress and free-access history, the offline learning snapshot, game practice decks, unsynchronized learning results, and free-limit notice state stored for the deleted account in Chivoc on that device.
• Other account data that we are not legally required to retain.

Data that may be retained

We may retain limited purchase, refund, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, or security records when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service. Retained data is restricted and deleted or anonymized when it is no longer required. It is not used to recreate your learning account.

Subscriptions

Deleting your Chivoc account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription through the applicable store account before deleting your Chivoc account.

What happens next

In-app deletion begins immediately. Support requests are processed after identity verification, and confirmation is sent by email.

Account-neutral learning packages, including downloaded HSK, handwriting, grammar, and pronunciation resources, may remain in Chivoc on the device so they can be reused. They do not contain the deleted account's learning history and can be removed from Downloads & Storage, by clearing Chivoc's app data, or by uninstalling Chivoc. PDF workbooks saved to Files, Downloads, cloud storage, or another app are outside Chivoc and must be deleted from that destination separately.
